About the HaltLock™ Device
HaltLock™ device offers a groundbreaking approach to stopping vehicle theft with its fully integrated mechanical locking system. Unlike traditional methods, it embeds its immobilizing mechanism directly into the drivetrain, ensuring your vehicle stays right where you parked it. Once activated, this mechanical setup physically blocks any movement, providing robust security. Its straightforward design simplifies installation, whether in new vehicles or as an aftermarket addition.
Operating independently of the vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU), HaltLock™ relies on a standalone remote or smartphone for its core functions. This separation from the vehicle’s electronic systems was a key focus from the start, potentially making it immune to electronic tampering techniques that target modern cars.
Alert System – Tamper alerts and early warning detection. Early warning alerts you to any movement around your vehicle, including engine start/stop actions and other activity nearby. The moment it happens, you receive an instant alert on your HaltLock app. Any attempted tampering with the unit will automatically trigger this communication action. HaltLock ™ also transmits other alerts as monitored by the telematics system.
Introducing The New Gen 4!
The HaltLock is a security device designed to thwart vehicle theft by immobilizing the transmission and keeping the car stuck in park. In its new Gen 4 iteration, it’s been repositioned from the rear of the gearbox to the side, where it locks the transmission in place. Even if criminals manage to enter and start the vehicle, they can’t shift it out of park or drive away without unlocking the HaltLock. Only when the device is disengaged does the lever release, allowing the gear lever to move freely. Forcing it might snap the cable or gear lever, but the transmission remains stubbornly locked.
Encased in a 3CR12 steel box mounted beneath the car, the HaltLock’s electronics and locking mechanism are well-protected—this corrosion-resistant, high-strength steel can shrug off attempts to cut through it with a torch. Plus, the auto lock feature eliminates the risk of forgetting to secure the vehicle, sidestepping human error entirely. It’s a clever, tough setup that leaves thieves with little to work with.
